I have an electric smoker I received for Christmas. Will be using it for the first time tomorrow. Would like to know how to smoke cooked kielbasa.
I am also going to smoke other meats. The kielbasa has me stumped. I could not find any recipes for already cooked kielbasa.
This is my first visit here. hello to everyone.

Hello Fifties, and welcome to the S-M forums.
What is the brand name on the smoker?
Also, whichever it is, it should be washed out with a mild cleanser, grates washed, and inside the unit coated in oil, like Pam or such, then heated up to "season" the unit. Add some wood to it, and play with it a bit...try to keep the smoke thin and blue.

As far as cooked sausage, sure you can smoke it. Since it's cooked, I would prolly just keep my temps up around 225-250 and smoke it to perhaps 150° or so and serve.

Welcome to Smoked Meat fiftiesbabe. Glad to have aboard. Like Rich said on the sausage. Also make sure you have a good thermometer. They a must when smoking takes the guess work out of smoking.

Always smoke by temp, not by time.
