  • pizza stone

I am a pizza man. I love making my own and have it down but for one issue. Normally I buy my crust from sam's they sell them in a box of 25 I think maybe 15. I have two big metal pans but they leave the crust not the best. Their not crispy, or brown really. So I am thinking about making some from concrete or buying a stone or two. I normally make square as I have big metal cookie sheets, but the new ones are round but have the same crust issue.

So has anyone made them fron concrete or what do you use?

I do have/use a Pampered Chef stone and have used it on the Weber's (Gas n Charcoal) and (knock on wood) it has not broken, but I have heard they are prone to breaking used on a bbq??.... Like Billy Joe said, the BGE stones are supposed to be Great, but pricey.

I have to look at this post one in a while just so I can see what it feels like to have penis, I'm mean pizza envy.

I'm with you Gunslinger, I have plenty of room to set one of those up and have shown my wife the thread; and she is all for it. The cost can't be bad, so I am feeling lazy for not getting on it. For now I have old man Winter arriving giving me 5 to 6 months of good excuse. Maybe you and I should compete in the Spring to see who can finish theirs first, I need a little motivation and would like to reverse the envy !!!
