    One more comp

    Last week I spoke about our last comp being the silver lake comp in Mears michigan. Well, there has been a change in plans for the Captain-N-Smoke BBQ team. Crewdog and myself have decided to compete at the " harvest on the ridge" KCBS event in Sparta Mi. this coming fri-sat.Lee and Rich have family things going on, so we will have our work cut out for us.

    The last two events have been especially good to us , and we feel we have some good momentum to boost our "team of the year" standings. In two events we have scored 2nd and 3rd overall, a 1st in chicken, a 4th and 5th in ribs, a 1st in pork, and a 10th in brisket.

    So wish us luck, and cross your fingers for us. With some luck, and the grace of God, we hope to continue our recent success. We shall see. We will report next sunday on the results. I got a good feeling about this.

    I ain't completely out yet dagnabbit. If my daughter is feeling fine I still may make it, Her due date really isn't until October so we will see. It would be tough just the two of you but I know you two could handle it. Well just have to see, I would really like to make it.

                      Best of luck to you!! Two can handle it but it's tough I know. I know a couple of single person teams.....I wouldn't even want to do that!!
