  • Ana-potle Galic Salt

This is the final finile on my roasted pepper thread
    http://www.smoked-meat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10317

Smoked, roasted, ground anaheims, poblanos, jalapenos = Ana-potle

I ground up the finally dried garlic and added to it the chili and chipotle powders along with some smoked salt. Tastes pretty darn good!

    Ground garlic

    Chili powders added

    Smoked salt added

    WA-LA! Ana-potle Garlic Salt
Bassman's take on the left, Walle's take on the right.
Ana-potle on top, roasted three chili majic on the bottom!

    my Ana-potle recipe:
4 large cloves dried garlic - ground
6 T smoked, dried, ground Jalepeno
    6 T smoked, dried, ground Anaheim/Poblano
    6 T smoked kosher salt

    Makes roughly one pint

I would appreciate some more mixed chili shake recipes from you other pepper heads.
Thanks for checking out my post

Nice stuff! Hmmm... what about leaving out the salt? Can always be added later as needed.

Sorry Craig, I think I got mine and yours both. Tracey was kind enough to fix me up with a big jar of the garlic salt mix and one of just plain chile powder (thanks Tracey)!. I tried the plain on some Domino's Pizza this evening. Sure is a lot better than just the dried chile pepper that they give you in the little packages.

Nice stuff man....I cant say i have any pre-mixed powders...I just have 10-15 pepper powders from garden i mix up with my dehydrated garlic, onion etc as needed...Do make bigger batches of our comp powders though...

Sure is fun to play though...I maake a red beans an rice/taco etc. powder with at least 8 different dried powders from garden....Kind of a mosaic deal...
