I just built one this morning. I had a nice drum at work that had tranny fuid in it, cut off the top, cleaned it out good and drilled the bottom 1" holes.




I found a brand new weber kettle on craigslist for $40 bucks, so the whole thing cost like $100 and I have a new kettle even though I managed to bugger the top up pretty good trying to make it fit the drum.




Ain't she perty?


I have a small chimney going now, and 11 pounds of Kingsford comp for the season. Oh and maybe a couple of chickens.

2 grates at 2 and 6 inches below the top. Its humming along at about 270 after a half hour with the one throttle wide open. Too much fun. Think I deserve a beer.
