  • Ornamental Pear Wood

My next door neighbor just cut down an ornamental flowering pear tree... Does anyone know anything about this wood? Is it similar to a real pear tree? Can it be used for smoking without killing anyone?

    Drinks well with others

            it does not produce fruit.
mine is either an aristocrat or cleveland select and the wood produces a light sweet smoke, kind of like peach.
