  • Pizza in the Traeger.

    Wood fired pizza has a great brick oven taste and we really enjoy pizza bake in the Traeger so the girls made a nice and not to complex pizza.


    I got out the pizza stone and put it in the Traeger. This stone has to go in cold oven or it will crack. I learned this by experience.


    I did a normal start up procedure, set the temperature too high and waited for the stone to heat up to 500 degrees. This took about 28 minutes, put on the pizza and reset the traeger temperature to 400 degrees


    Eighteen minutes later the pizza was baked.


    We like thin crust and this is as thin as we can get it. Tasted great and I must say the girls did a good job.

    Good looking pizza. Is that some sort of heat proof paper plate? Looks like you slid the whole thing on to the stone.

            Ableman does pizzas on his BGE and they always turn out sweet lookin, and yours is no exception looks good. no looks fargin awesome.


            oh and thanks for the tip that the stone goes in cold on a cold cooker.

              Our granddaughter works at a Take Out and Bake Yourself pizza place for some income while in collage and she brings me the thin paper they use. She and her friend prepared the pizza and slid in the Traeger. I remove the paper eight minutes into the bake per their instructions. BTW this is the thinnest crust I ever had.
