well, i looked up a few recipes, took the advice of some forum members and the fried the bunny. lol

basic milk and egg dredge with flour, salt, pepper, and my favorite ingredient of all time (next to brown sugar), Garlic powder. fried in some vegi oil until it looked about right and drained off a bit of extra oil. some of the best pieces of wild game I have ever had.a lot more moist than I thought they'd be, and it really does taste like chicken. lol. looks like my daughter may not be having an Easter this year. lol

as far as I am concerned, YES. lol

i have heard that smoking is always an option if you cover it with bacon, but i'm still up in the air if I want to try it. i probably will tho... hell, if I kill it, it's free meta. worst case scenario, if I ruin it, i only loose the cost of a pound of bacon. lol

              Fried rocks!

I also like it slow cooked in BBQ sauce and a can of beer. We'll put squirrel and wild rabbit in a crock pot and slow cook all day until it melts in your mouth.

We eat a lot of rabbit around. Besides hunting them, we also raise them for butcher.

Bunny nuggets -- I love it. I gave you for this one. Next time I am bummed out, this is number 1 on the list. Here in a few weeks it will be Mr. Peter Cottontail and a few relatives season.

Rabbit rocks. My mom used to fix it when I was a kid and I can not find it in the markets here and I really used to like it

Yeah, I remember my Mom frying rabbits when I was a little girl. Of course she knew if I knew it was rabbit I would not eat it...so she always told me it was chicken.

thanks for the points David. I appreciate it.

I actually had a squirrel in my sights and shot it... after looking at it closer, it had a couple sores on it like it had been attacked or something and it REAKED. needless to say, it will be fertilizer for the corn next year that will feed his children. lol

mate of mine is in to bunny bagging.

I'll send this thread to him.

We generally stew rabbit, it's good meat.
I keep telling dave if he gets me enough bunny meat I'll make bunny sausages :-)
