  • The new phone book is here, the new phone book is here!!!

Well if you know the movie, then you can relate.

Actually, my phone books came last year, but today came my new slicer.
Not a top notch one, but a decent one for the price.
9 bucks brand new, never used. Off ebay. Opened it up, PERFECT. Lost my bid on a online auction site by 4 dollars on a nice used Hobart so I had to get something quick.
Sliced a few passes on some sirloin. Oh yeah, gonna be allot easier than using the old knife when it comes time to slicing bacon and such.

i had a slicer exactly like that for a while, worked very well, and was very well built. paid 5$ for it at a garage sale - and eventually when the kids lost a couple of parts, it became a big paperweight. too bad i only got to use it for one deer season, but the good news is that i also had an elk hindquarter that season and it saved me a lot of work. loved it, would grab another in a heartbeat if i could afford it! :(

I'm tellin ya, I was surprised I got it. The person did not have a photo in the auction listing, only when you clicked on it did a photo appear. People, when you wanna sell something, you gotta have pics or people just are not going to bother clicking on it

Thing runs like a champ. Can't see cutting full size briskets with it or anything, but for making jerky slices or small cuts for deli meat, oh yeah. Perfect.

Not sure how much you've run through it yet, but when I got mine I was a bit skeptical also. I run my tri tips through it and it never skips a beat. There is no doubt that the folks here at Smoked-Meat get the best deals. Bravo

WHAT??? It's the movie "The Jerk" with Steve Martin. If you never seen it, you gotta rent it. Back when it came out, it was funny as hell.
