  • 8# of venison jerky

Had a few hours of free time today so I decidedit was time for some jerky
first here's a pic of what I hope to be getting at in the next few weeks

now back to the jerky.started out slicing 8# of venison roast's

I used 6 pacs of nescos original and 2 pacs of hot and spicey.Makes a great combo.

added 2 cups water and a1/2 cup olive oil and put it all in my revo to marrinate fr 10 min

notice after vacuming out the air the differance in the level of the liquid.this thing is amazing

onto the tumbler for 10 min and you would think ya marinated over night

now dont shun me cause here's where I'll let ya down to the dehydrater we go

and part of the finished product.belive me is dang good

    thanks for looking

who cares about the jerky, lets see a close up of that calender in the first photo

No seriously, jerky looks great and I always wondered about those tumblers you have. They really work good huh? Might have to see abouts adding one to the arsenal. And don't tell anyone, but sometimes I use a dehydrator too Shhhhhhh....But if I ever catch wind that your putting your ribs in the oven I'll have to drive up there and set ya straight

Great job on the jerky. Nothing beats venison jerky, NOTHING.

yeah yeah. I was using the term venison as wild meat in general. Never had caribou or antelope jerky, but the others yeah. I got one for ya. When we lived in Texas, we would make backstrap jerky from jack rabbits. I kid you not.

Sky Carp. That is funny as hell, never heard them referred to as that before. Yup, we would pop jacks for bait for the coyotes and take the backstraps out of them. Either cook em up or make jerky. Everything else on em was tough as nails. I gotta tell my buddy about the the sky carp, he'll get a kick out of that.
