  • Just made some Pasties, thats all.

I have been really neglecting my smoker lately. Not really all that busy so no excuse. Went shoppin with the wife today which I don't care for much, but wanted a nice Pork lion to make some small 1 pound hams as stocking stuffers along with smoked cheese, sausage and homeade crackers. I couldn't find a loin I liked, and the price was way up on what I seen. Got home a threw these together so they ain't pretty but sure are tasty.

Just mixed up some diced taters, onions, carrot and rutabaga with a pound of ground round and seasoned with just salt and pepper.

Just used a pastry crust recipe (pie crust), divided in 4, rolled out, filled and sealed. Bake at 400* for 1/2 hour.

Ate mine with horseradish on the side. (not shown)

I did find this for jerky, got it cureing now

There I feel better now that I posted something.

Naw that would be more like the bierocks, more of a bread dough.

Scott. these are a more traditional filling with the rutabaga, but sure you could add whatever you want. like I usually do with the beirocks.
