  • Oriental Meat Mortar

Well thought I would try another. This one has fried rice with red chillies and ginger root with red onion.. Then I added shit tocy mushrooms, shrimp, baby corn, bean sprouts, and pineapple and an egg 2 tbs hoisin sauce a little oyster sauce and soy sauce. I used 1 lb lean ground beef 3/4 lb sausage and 2 beer brats to give me enough meat for project added 1 1/2 tbs of Chinese 5 spice to meat mix. Mixed in two slices cracked wheat bread I ran through food processor. and 1 egg. Mixed all together and froze over night. After smoking I am going to put a sweet and sour glaze on it. Last pic is left overs we had for lunch. It was great. Also did some ABT's wanted to try my new pepper rack out but peppers were to big. I got a little over 4 cups of filling in meat cup. Turned out pretty good. Had to cut while sitting up, so stuffing wouldn't fall out, then used wide spatula to plate up.

Amazing bit of work, dunno how I missed it, have some belated !

Now if you could just work on non-rice model for those of us with an oryza aversion, that'd be swell :-)
Every other thing in the filling looked spot on

Looks like you can get a lot more filling in one of those than you can in a fatty.
I'm surprised the filling didn't fall out when you sliced it though.

So how did you make the meat cup ?
And was it still frozen when you stuck it in the smoker ?
