  • Man, What the Heck am I going to do with this??

I just picked up 3000 lbs of plate steel at bargain basement prices.

    4 sheets of 3/8 plate steel - 4'X8' - $30.00 per sheet.
    1 sheet of 7 gauge steel - 4'X12' - $15.00 per sheet.

I am gonna make some awesome patio smokers out of this stuff - you probably will get to watch this stuff next summer. Here I am cutting it up to get it off the trailer.

i hate you so much right now. lol.

that is below bargain prices as far as I'm concerned. a 4x8 sheet of 16 ga for me is about $40, so figure a 3/8" sheet would be about $240+... did I mention how much i hate you right now? lol

nice score buddy. i can't wait to see the builds.

        What a deal

You cant pass on a deal like that, looks like new.

At those prices I would buy as much as you can, scrap prices are up now and will continue to rise for the next few months.

        Nice score!

Thats What I was thinking too.....

                Wow

Dude, I'm loading up my truck and on my way down. Hook me up

I did not want to be too forward, but I was thinking it. 3/8 is kind of thick for what I mostly do today but at those prices, I could think of something.

If he keeps that kind of buying up he may have to get a loader to handle that kind of weight.

Man those are sick prices. I think if you sold it for scrap you would come out on top. Can't wait to see what comes of all this raw material. Nice job.

Yeah...I could sell it for scrap and make a profit. I think I can make it into something nicer than scrap, however.

I just had 2 plates bent for a shop project (1950 mack tow truck) and I think 2 bends cost me twice what you paid for all of you haul.

Prices are going up, on new and scrap, I would stock up if you need to.
