  • Why I love the Goodwill store

Aside from the fact that you can get great velvet paintings of Elvis, or glow in the dark posters of dolphins, every once in a while, you come across some really cool things and great deal. Heres one of them.

It's a Blade Trader by Kershaw. Picked this up a while ago, but it is one of the best finds so far. And at 5 bucks, I couldn't pass it up. I think it was new and there were no signs of wear, but I have used it many time since.

Very good find indeed MH. Kershaw makes pretty darn good steel. My primary hunter is a Kershaw, 25 years old. Guaranteed shaving sharp, and still holds an edge like a dream. I think the removable handle turned some people offto the trader. I like prowling the goodwill and second hand stores also. Always fun to find a great buy on a good piece of gear.

Yeah, if I had to choose, I would certainly go for a fixed handle just for the simple fact that they are solid, but this one is just perfect for camp trips or fishing trips. All the blades needed, cut meat/veggies, bread, filleting fish ect. Just another tool that I didn't need, but could stand the thought of someone else owning it for that price

Sweet. Kershaw is a good brand. I have a Kershaw knive that has a bone saw, skinning knive and regular gutting knive and it is awesome. My uncle got our whole hunting crew one a few years back and we all love them!

I totally agree that Goodwill is awesome! We have two in the Augusta area. They recently opened up one in the "rich" section of town and great time of day can a Squirrel get some awesome designer duds for almost nothing! Not to mention cookware. I got a Wusthof knife for $2!!!!!!!!

Great find you've got there sir! I've never seen anything like it.
