  • Panko Fried Finger Fatties

This is part 2 of a recent fatty thread http://www.smoked-meat.com/forum/sho...threadid=11967 and I did not want it to get "lost" in that thread by folks that have already viewed it..... These would make Awesome finger appetizers

Take Fatty slices, such as these that have cooled down overnight in fridge

Give them the flour, egg & Panko treatment, pushing the Panko into the slices

Fry until a nice Golden Brown in butter....

    Serve

for creativity! Great idea. Did the frying process take away any smoke flavor?

Now that is a good question! ..... One I had not thought of while devouring 5 of them ..... But I think the answer would be a yes, to some extent I do believe it did mellow out the smoke flavoring. I originally smoked them with Apple, so they were pretty mellow to start with, but maybe something like Hickory would hold up a little more

WOW!!! Don't know if I'd ever be allowed to eat one of those, but if I could, it'd first on the solid food list.
