I got it off youtube and figured why not try it? Its really easy and pretty damn good, even with canned tomatoes it tasted better than the batch I made yesterday with real maters. I added 2 jalepenos insted of serranos and a little more salt, and i bet it will be way better tomorrow after sitting. Try it out!
This is a big bowl, its hard to tell but it makes a good amount.
Mexican Salsa
28 ounces canned chopped tomatoes, in juice
3 cloves garlic, peeled
Juice of 1 lime
1 handful cilantro leaves, whole
½ cup pickled jalapenos, or more (rings)
1 tablespoon kosher salt
½ medium onion
3 fresh serrano peppers, optional
Pulse all ingredients in a food processor or blender until just chunky. Serve with tortilla chips.
