  • Dove Breast and pork butt

This was cooked for a dove hunt this past weekend.
Ok so we start with a pork butt after 24 hours in the evil brown liquid and rubbed and ready for smoke. This is half of a real big pork butt, the other half was pickled for red beans and rice butt that's a different post.

And after 8 hours at 250F. This was now foiled and rested.

Now we git to the dove breasts, all cleaned up and ready for the Mojo marinade.

    48 hours later.

Wrapped in bacon and ready for some heat.

And onto the outback, not sure I like this grill. I do not like the 1" holes in the grill.

Cooked for about ten minutes a side, till the bacon's done.

Now we git our pork pulled.

And plated up with some greeens and some black beans and a few grilled dove breasts. The pulled pork has a bit of "Doc Pierces" sauce on it.

    IMHO tasty tasty stuff!

In my opinion as well, that sure looks like some tasty food. Haven't hunted dove since I left Texas. Give them a tail wind, and you put a whole new meaning on "Fast Food"

    Everything looks fantastic, good job.
