What do you do with a bunch of hens that aren't grateful enough to lay 2 eggs every 3 days? Stew 'em of course. Well, stew the breasts and save the thighs and legs for sausage.
This is my Great Granny's recipe with a few changes, like fresh garlic, parsley and rosemary.
I served it over homemade noodles too. I can't eat the noodles or dumplings just yet, but the rest was darn good, all 4 ozs of it. But I must admit, I did take a teeny, tiny, little bite of a dumpling. Boy was that awesome.
Homemade noodles.
This makes my mouth water for real.
One more close in shot.
If you can believe it, my family didn't leave even a little bit in the pan. And you know how I feel about ungrateful livestock.
