You got a table saw and a rip blade, right? Get ON IT! Lotta smoke in there... you see those AMS dealies yet? Got some bacon over one right now. Seem to work well without an aquarium pump too.

Hans and frantz made milwaukee famous. The floor in my pole barn under the table saw is full of cherry, hickory and apple. I'll have to bag it up.

          Yeah I saw them.

I picked up a couple rib bellies as well. Thickest bacon belly I've bought yet. Bacon Boggie Woogie....

I'm leaning toward a Black Suffolk Bacon BUT I GOT ALL THAT DUST NOW.. It'll be tough staying out of it.

              Nice score!

I've been keeping some of the sawdust from work (cabinet shop)...have a job coming up to make kitchen cabinets out of hickory...might have to alter the dust collection system a wee bit...

Scored a small bag of Alder sawdust from the most recent job..along with some good scrap pieces to play with. Methinks I'm gonna like being a cabinet maker.

I can get plenty of apple where I am from the orchards. A butt goes a long ways toward smoke wood after pruning's done. Pecan is whats tough for me to get. I have to rely on the local supermarket. They can order bags of it for me by the case but it's friggin expensive that way. Still, a case of chips lasts me close to a year.

Amaze-N-Smoker. cool little contraption. i would love one, but haven't gotten around getting one yet. I can do just about whatever i want with what i got now, so it's hard to justify the purchase to the wife... i could make one, but the cost for a sheet of the perforated steel is pretty high as far as i'm concerned, and there is a limited number of uses for the scrap.

I'm just wondering how you'd go bout using one in vertical cooker. for me, it'd be ok for cold smoking but soon as the fat starts fallin it'd snuff out the dust. Unless of course there catch pan under the meat. Probbly just use my old can in the firebox...
