  • Gihottas grapes

    Saw this the other day and it sounded really good. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm always up for a new appetiser

    Giada DeLaurentis;
    1/4 cup (2 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
    1/4 cup (2 ounces) blue cheese, at room temperature
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    Food processor till smooth, transfer to bowl.

    1 cup (4 ounces) finely chopped walnuts, toasted(or smoked?)
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

    Roasted walnuts fine chop in another bowl, add finely chopped parsly and sugar.

    Coat 18 to 20 chilled seedless red grapes, with cheese mixture and then roll em in the walnut mixture.
    Put into fridge untill the cheese sets.

    interesting.

    Not generally a big fan of nuts in cookery, but I can see how that would all work

      Thanks for bumping this CA. I remember reading it originally and thinking I'd like to try it. My wife has a cold chicken salad recipe that incorporates grapes, blue cheese and I think walnuts. It is really good. This sounds great on an appetizer level. Thank you WF for bringing it to our attn.!
