Any other olive nuts here? I was raised with a jar of olives on the table for every meal. My paternal grandparents were Yugoslavian, and my granddad grew up along the Adriatic. I'm guessing this was passed down along this line. My dad still has a jar of pimento stuffed Lindsay olives at every meal. I like all kinds, at least all the kinds I can get my hands on, black, green, kalamata. Currrently I'm working my way through the big jar that World Market carries. The jars are nice too, will be good for pickled eggs. Does anyone else have any good sources for a variety of olives?

This place has some that I really like. Walle is from this area in Southwestern Colorado so last time he was there, he brought me back a gallon of jalapeno stuffed olives. They're excellent.

            olives are great :-)

I did go off them for a short while when I discovered how they were processed.

Yep. Corning IS the Olive City. At least that's what it says on their website.

We've got a HUGE olive processing plant in town

              http://www.bellcarter.com/

This is where Lindsay Olives are packed. Part of it used to be Olives Inc. where my Mom worked for years. I grew up with plenty of olives in the house too.

Plus a couple of olive oil processors.

                Love olives...all of them.

Keith, Tracey sent me a jar of those in a care package and they were most excellent...especially in a Spicy Bloody Mary!

A lot of the stores locally now have "olive bars" which I think they stole that idea from Whole Foods. Man, they have every kind of olive there is in Whole foods' Olive Bar...I like Whole foods, but get out your damn wallet! I will pick up a container of different kinds when I'm in there just to snack on...Freakin' Yum!

Hot Damn, Dana! I think I need a bloody mary. Those olives are excellent. I chopped up two of them and mixed in with my deviled egg mix yesterday. Different but good.

Yeah, I love me olives, especially the jalapeņo stuffed ones. I been putting them in Bloody Marys for years. They're available in some stores around here. I like slicing the hot ones up to make an olive burger with too. Hmmmm, maybe I'll make me a jalapeņo olive & cheese stuffed beef fatty or Moink Balls.

Keith, I've been buying Anasazi beans from Adobe Milling for probably 20 years. I used to be able to buy them at a little flea market here that a guy that wintered in AZ brought back here in the summer, but he retired. Once I found Adobe Milling, I started buying the beans 50 lbs at a time cause the family all wanted some. best beans I ever et.
