  • Abelman's Grilled Leeks

I gave Abelman...Pete's, grilled leek recipe a try and they were wonderful!

    Thanks to Pete for sharing!
Here's the link to his post...

I split the leeks and brushed them with bacon drippings and seasoned with kosher salt...

    Onto the grilll....

I wrapped the leeks in foil and continued cooking for about 15 minutes...

Then topped the leeks with a splash of balsamic vinegar, some smoked cheese (all I had on hand) and some crumbled bacon.

They were tasty and my company loved them too. :)

Thank you again for sharing your recipe Pete, I will be making these again soon.

Thanks for checking out my GrillView.

OK, now you got me on the bandwagon! All I have to do is locate some leeks and I'll be giving them a try. Those look great, Jeanie.

Great plated view as usual, I love leeks and I when I saw Pete's post I thought hummm why haven't I done those yet?? damn just no time, your plated view is killing me, they look so tastey... I use them a lot in different dishes and usually have them in the fridge.. alas not this weekend tho they have been kinda pricey around here of late... Im gonna do this very soon!

                      Jeanie, no thanks needed.

Truth be told, I got that from Alton Brown.
