    New (old) Globe slicer

    We mentioned to a friend of ours to keep his ears open if he heard of anyone selling a bigger slicer...two days later he found one. I just did a preliminary scrubbing on it and it cleaned up pretty good for how old this thing must be. The blade is larger than 10", but seems shy of 12". It also has it's own sharpening stones with it! So we'll be slicing up some bacon soon! We have a smaller slicer, but we were having to cut our bacon in 1/2 to slice it. Picked this up for $125.00!

      The nice thing about a lot of those old slicers is there are still new parts available for repair. Globe, and especially Hobart, are like JD tractors. You can still buy nib oem parts...
      Once you go Weber....you never call customer service....

              Nice find! If I ran across one of those for that price, I would buy it. I couldn't pick it up to get it home, but I'd still buy it just because.

                  Had two 17 year olds carry in from the car! Actually 3, one of them had to hold the cord so the other two didn't trip over it..
