  • Saturday Night Kettle Cam.................

Wife brought home steaks & veggies for the grill.... Nice afternoon in Washington today..... She usually gets filets, but had a BOGO coupon & tonight we had Top Round I think they were, or something like that.... Oh well, wah - wah -wah...... 1 hour marinade in Italian dressing with some other stuff & grilled em up, sliced thin at an angle against the grain & they were pretty good.....

We love grilled onions, but they can be a challenge keeping them together without a basket.... So I cut em thick & pinned them with a toothpick from the outter edge through to the center.... It really worked pretty well & eliminated the "circle pieces" that split from falling through the grates.... Remember to remove toothpicks! ..... Tossed the veggies with a little oil & Kosher salt & CBP.

The new addition to the grilling arsenal is MAD HUNKY BUTTER which is regular butter heated up & mixed with Mad Hunky..... Drizzled on the veggies while they are grilling.... OMG ...... Anyways, heres some shots of the action.... Note: wife likes steak medium at a minimum, preferably WELL done

The patio crew.... Cookshack warming up in the bullpen for a smoke after dinner....

Onions pinned with a toothpick, oiled & seasoned.....

Veggies ready to grill, with the Mad Hunky Butter ready to drizzle.....

    Pre-Hunkification.....

    Post-Hunkification.....

    Veggie Cam.......

Plated with her favorite horseradish sauce for the steak.....
