My New Toy!!!

Folks, meet the latest addition to me toy box... a Weber Performer that I found on craigslist... He started out at $150... we ended up at $117. New ones sell for $329 around here...

It's a few years old, was a bit dirty, butt cleaned up real nice. This puppy will get the Smoke-EZ attachment perched atop, and become part of me comp artillery, with two 18.5" WSM's flanking her side. I'm stoked!

Very nice. There is a really nice one in town that sits right on the edge of a guys deck. I'm trying to talk myself into taking it on a drunken dare sometime LOL.

Actually, I misstated the ending price. It was actually $113.00. Deal was, we settled on $120. I stopped at the ATM on the way to pick it up, grabbed $100... I already had $30+ in me pocket... or so I thought. Get to his house, go to pay him... I'm $7.00 short. Somehow, I'm missing a twenty I thought I had. So, I told him I'd hit an ATM, be right back. He said don't worry about it, just gimmee what you got. We shook hands, the deal was sealed.

I invited him to the Middletown comp in May to visit the Weber, and to get fed really well. Really nice guy!

Bassman, I've been looking for one for a couple of years... didn't want to spend the coin on a new one. FINALLY!!! I found one an hour away from home... Whew!
