Planting My Summer Plants..

I do love the spring plants but for some reason I can't get into the mood of planting twice.. So I plant my summer stuff now..


The wife and I when to the sheds in downtown Dallas this morning and pick up our plants..




Picked up a flat of Alyssum for around the front porch so we have a fesh scent when we sit having coffee in the mornings.. Along with a flat of Coleus...



We thought this year we would mix up the colors a bit...




And we will add these 2 flats of Portulaca around the back entry.. These do really good in the Texas Hot Sun.. And flower all summer..

I will be adding pics through out the year as a time line... Maybe every two weeks or so...

Great choices! I love sweet alyssum! I worked as a grower for a commercial greenhouse and that was my favorite thing to grow. My whole zone smelled like douche.

I picked up a few plants today at walmart. Hope to get them in the ground soon. I also just bought 100 landscape timbers to line my beds with. I am soooo ready for a big ass garden!

That's going to be some mighty fine curb appeal in a few weeks, Mr Ken.

The bug is going around. I planted the first stage of three of lettuce and Bassman's beets today, along with next years garlic. The Mrs's planted a bunch of herbs... that's about it for another two months up here.
