UDS is Gettin a Facelift & Jacked Up...

Got a new drum from work. Cut the top band off with a die grinder. The Weber lid fit's perfect. Took my old drum & cut a third of it off at the "V" also cut the top band off. That third fit's real nice...My intention's for it is a second rack & modded for a rotisserie. I'll get more pic's & show ya better what I did. Man I did it with no cussing or mistake's... Want one of DDave's Ribolator...& I got idea's for a peanut roaster!

Is that green addition just sittin on there or do you have it secured somehow?

Ya know, you could add a few more sections, then build a spiral staircase around it to get to the top. How cool would that be?

Seriously though, good job. I might add a section like you did, keep things up off the coals a bit more.

I'm gonna level it it & add stop bolt's if ya got me....so I can take it off & go with a straight UDS...

I wonder if the Ribolater that he sells for drums is bigger than the one he sells for the wsm.I hope so cause as much as I love and use it you could not fit a rack of ribs on it if you triedShould be called the chickolater or the burger spit,or wingolater anything but a ribolater.I would check out its demensions before buying if your plan is ribs

Seen that Ribolator is jacked up to 100 bux...may hafta work on that...The Peanut Roaster is work in the brain...

It's a snug fit...Like I said i'll use 4 bolt's horizontal like ya do the grate...I just leveled the dolly I have it on & leveled the donor...I'm gonna take it to work & get after it with our media blaster & then the drum as well...Blaster is big & Rock's! I'll get pic's...been eatin Oyster's! Sippin a Natty!

Yea, one day I am going to mod my UDS up with another section. Looking good so far. Get that media blaster working on it and some fresh paint.
