  • A pair of butts

I volunteered to cook the food for a party on the 4th. So I'm cooking the butts and beans in advance. Will be cooking more the day of. Didn't get any prep shots. Took longer than I thought to mod the smoker and needed to get it in there.

There will be vegetarians at the party so I have to cook one batch above the pork. Did you know that Bush's makes a vegetarian version of beans? Not me. Here's a smoker full.

Lol. They out number me. It might not be wise. I'm just trying to make them happy too. The pan on the bottom is for us carnivores.

But wouldn't it be great to sneak some pork fat in on them? It would be the best beans they ever had.

          Good lookin start though

Good looking butts so far. I have seen Bush's vegetarian beans. I thought all beans were considered vegetables (legumes).

                  Nice looking butts,

do you foil them at all while they are still cooking in the smoker.

also what do you think of those cabinet smokers .

Those are some good lookin butts Ray. I've had vegetarians at the house before. Told them they had a choice of butt, brisket, or lettuce. Guess they weren't really vegetarians after all. They ate everything.
