  • Them Upside Down Garden Planter Thingies?

I met a fella yesterday that grows all kinds of stuff in those planter things that you hang.... He said his results were spectacular.... I have only seen them for tomatoe's, but he said cucumbers, zuchini, and all kinds of other stuff work great.... Anyone use these for stuff other than tomatoes

Hell, I can't grow them right side up, let alone standing them on their heads. Darn good thing there is a farmers market close by...but then I don't use compost...Hmmmm.

Never worked much for me or my parents either. I think the soil just stays too dry because when you water them it just runs out.

I have also heard tales where someone will plant a potato in a tire, and as the foliage grows, they stack on another tire and fill it up with dirt. They then repeat this process as many times as possible.

When it is time to dig taters, they knock this monstrosity over and have a column of potatos as high as they stacked the tires...they probably used compost too.
