  • Texas June Bug's (Dove breast)

My bud T-H turned me on to this recipe a few years back. And it goes like this.

de-bone the Dove breast, quartered a onion and half-ed pickled jalape?os.Lay out a strip of bacon.

Roll up and stab with a tooth pick. Heat up the grill and grill till the bacon gets crisp.

Then you are ready to get after it. Man these thing are goooood..

Looks awesome! I wouldn't mind trying a larger version with pheasant or even grouse. Seems like those birds are multiplying in my freezer!

Wow, They sure do look good. We can't hunt them here, all I do is feed them. But at least the idea stuck in my head to maybe give this a try with something else.

I have Goose and Pheasant in the freezer will have to have a go with them. Can't hurt to try. It don't get any better than bringing game in from the field and preparing a meal, and folks like what they taste. Sure makes it worth wild...
