  • English muffin

After seen Tom C English muffin post on the ring I had to give them a try here is a link to the recipe I used
    http://www.sourdoughhome.com/englishmuffins.html
the only deviation was that i used blue corn meal (a buddy's mother makes it)

thank you guys they were great!!! i plan on making them on a regular base i swear im goin to be 400lbs before i give up my sourdough starter

chefrob the texture was great the only thing(s) i might try is punching them down about midway of the first rise or rolling them out about midway and let them finish their rise after they are cut out. hoping i will achieve a more airy center

Those look great. I tried making them a few years back, a lot of trouble my recipe, and they still didn't come out as nice as those.

They look absolutely fantastic! Great looking breakfast also.

looking good - tom c wouldn't be our gunslinger by any chance ?
I know he's made muffins and is the forums undisputed master of the sourdough.

Them and crumpets are both things I've never tried to make. They do look pretty straightforward though.

any muffins you make would be considered "english" muffins so you should give it a shot
