  • Snow Ice Cream

I made some snow ice cream this weekend after getting hit with a good storm.

I mixed one egg with 3/4 cup of sugar...

Added 1 cup of milk, a pinch of salt and a bit of vanilla...

Mixed in as much fresh snow as I could.....
    (NO yellow snow :))

Topped with whipped cream and a cherry... it was pretty tasty!

Had to make some angels too...

This is what I do when I'm snowed in and have no electricity. :)

Thanks for checking out my icecream view.

Well Jeanie if nothing else it has been a trying winter for ya. First the pump rod, then the gas and now this giant storm. Makes ya wonder if a severe thunderstorm could be any worse. Just don't bring back the dust bowl and I think we in the rural area will be just fine I say.

I haven't had this is years! We grew up calling it snow cream and would only use milk, vanilla and sugar. It's good stuff though!!!! Now that I live in the city I don't make it...to much yellow and other colored snow around

Thanks for bringing back some good childhood memories, Jeanie!

I thought the yellow snow provided the special top secret seasonings that make the ice cream a desert to remember

Not only did you make me jealous of the beautiful white snow shots, but then you had to make the snow edible!!! Your mind is always cranking out some great stuff, Jeanie. Way to make use of what ya got!

By the way, I give the snow angel a 10 out of 10
