  • How much do you guys spend on pellets?

I have recently found a source of good wood pellets of different flavors, and i am considering carrying them in my online store. however, if there is not enough demand for them, I won't bother. they are in $20 bags and will cost around $16-$20 (plus S&H) depending on flavors and quantity ordered. i might be able to do better, but i'm not sure yet. I need to call the supplier this afternoon to talk more about pricing.

    Later,
    Andy

here's a quick excerpt of the message i got:

We at Smoke Stack / Pitmaster Select
            (Division of Horizon Biofuels, Inc)
would like to introduce to you our new line of Smoking Pellets.

Why buy artificially flavored smoking pellets when you can have the real deal. Horizon offers smoking pellets that are TRUE SPECIES WOOD! (No artificial oils or flavoring added).

Just as the oak cast gives a fine whiskey it's distinct flavor, it's the wood that gives food that great smoke flavor. And Horizon smoking pellets are the easiest way to give food that real smoke flavor.

Produced for use on pellet grills, but can be used on any type of grill.

            MULBERRY BLEND
            HICKORY BLEND
            MESQUITE BLEND
            CHERRY BLEND
We're always adding new flavors to the line, call to check it out...

Call Candy @ BBQr's Delight (Info on my site) and they will ship you 1,000 lbs pallet for about $5.00 a bag including shipping. These are 10 lbs. bags. They require a business address with a lift to pull the pallet off the truck. They don't mess with lift gates. That said you can find a local BBQ place to off load them for a sall fee. :-). My get dumped off ay a local engine builder.

They are excellent pellets and used allot by competition groups. In fact Candy herself competes with them. She also has one big ars pellet cooker she trailers around. one of the biggest I have seen.
Smoke it.. and they will come!

thanks wingman! i'll have to give her a call to... offloading shouldn't be an issue. I'll just have them drop them off at work and the guys in the shop will load them into my truck with the forklift. it always makes me proud to see my half-ton truck hauling 2,000 lbs of stuff down the road... as suspension parts fly off... lol
