  • Hey! Pix! :{)

Trying to show off smoke ring.

    Done Chicken and Ribs

    Chicken

    Ribs

Wanted to share with you guys. Both chicken and ribs done on a water smoker, but I was having trouble near the end of the smoke getting the heat up to crisp up the bird. I finished in the oven at 325 for 30 mins. Basically really simple smoke, but that said I had never done a WHOLE bird. So I gave it a try beer can style with a simple marinade and dusting of spice. The ribs were done with a K.C. style rub and served with sauce on the side. WINGMAN is hooking me up with some Hunky's bird brine and I am looking forward to that on the next smoke.

You DO need to re-size those pix a little smaller... to fit standard page widths. Makes it easier to view and read for us :{)

640x480 is best... But 800x600 should be the largest..

that first rib shot is excellent

I doubt I'll ever get a rack of ribs with that much meat on it - but I can live in hope.

                Chicken looks pretty good too

Didn't look like you were using too much but did seem a bit heavy on those few dryer spots but no worries. Hold your shaker up
a little higher and you will not only get an even coating but a more equal distribution of spices as well over the entire surface.
Same goes when adding salt or basically any seasoning.

                              Good looking Q though
