Well this is what I did today. It is a smoker for my Dad. It will be a insulated reverse flow, medium size I don’t have the actual numbers in front of me right now tho. All out of 14guage metal, cross broke outer shell with some very nice chrome handles and this one will be powder coated as well. I am excited to get this done for him and see the finished product; it will definitely be a HIGH end smoker that is for sure.

          I have a couple questions
1,does the smoke roll up both sides of the smoker?
2.how do you damper the fire?
3,will it be on wheels or a samll trailer?

an insulated RF cabinet smoker like this is definitely on my next build list after i finish the electric fridge. as much as i'd hate to do it, once i get the cabinet done, i might have to ditch the original fridge...

nope... my 3 year old daughter loves to help daddy... just doesn't like the grinder sounds, but loves putting on the helmet and watching the pretty colors.

1.) the smoke rolls up the sides, falls down over the food, then out through the flue hole towards the base of the smoker

2.) the damper is on the intake side of the smoker. if the air can't get in, it can't get out either, so you are covered on that pretty well

3.) that is up to you/the builder.

build the cabinet... you'd be surprised how much food you can get into one, how even the heat is, and the fuel savings... hell, for the amount of fuel that you will save on a cabinet build like this, you can probably save enough cash to build a nice trailer unit in short time.

                  Later,
                  Andy

1,does the smoke roll up both sides of the smoker? Yes in "smoke channels"
2.how do you damper the fire? I will have one on the exhaust and of course a intake at the fire box. It should come through in a little bit when I get a little farther. I'll make sure to take some pics for ya.
3,will it be on wheels or a samll trailer? This one is on wheels as it is "small" about 25"x30"x48" roughly

Thanks Zeekster. I thought I would post up a quick pic so my Dad could see the outer body and how it will look cross broke. There will be a better up-date in a couple days.
