I expected to read something Cliff Clavin-ish like this -

The Indian military has a new weapon against terrorism: the world's hottest chili.

After conducting tests, the military has decided to use the thumb-sized "bhut jolokia" or "ghost chili" to make tear' gas-like hand grenades to immobilize suspects.

The bhut jolokia was accepted by Guinness World Records in 2007 as the world's spiciest chili. It is grown and eaten in India's northeast for its taste, as a cure for stomach troubles and a way to fight the crippling summer heat.

It has more than 1,000,000 Scoville units, the scientific measurement of a chili's spiciness. Classic Tabasco sauce ranges from 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville units, while jalapeno peppers measure anywhere from 2,500 to 8,000.

"The chili grenade has" been found fit for use after trials in Indian defense laboratories.

Holly Crap, I have to clean the key board and my screen (won't even talk about under garments bein soiled.)

I have been working so hard getting my other cave ready and with the past weekend all the smoking I had to do. I get on here with plans and peter out. I am going to write a fact every day about chili as long as it would let me edit. Just been pooped. Minnibill knows about little green heavy cans.
and when i started to write. I just gave the the big wisdom 1st

I have learned a lot from the NM pepper inst.. and from reading other things in books ect about use's for HOT peppers and the not so hot.

still not done with the moving and arranging stuff and have to do a cheese hawg this weekend for a bunch of folks that flew in from up north. got to go ghet and prep in the moring. cook sat and serve sunday. shall see.
