  • Brine Shrimp & Scallops?

I've been getting very hungry for a good meal of jumbo shrimp and scallops, and I don't mean those little bay scallops, I mean them HUGE suckers. you know, the ones that you bite into and they squirt juice all over.

I've marinated and grilled them, but has anyone tried brining them and would they be good? Yay or nay?

yep, brining either will make them pop texture, moisture and flavor wise.

ANytime I smoke or grill I brine them.
Just because you welded some shit together doesnt make it a WSM.

Never tried brining them. I have had those suckers wrapped in some bacon like a filet mignon now that was tasty!

generally just marinade - but am always looking to try something new with shrimp.

Maybe I'll try rich's brine on some shrimp
