Hippy 07-06-2011, 11:39 AM Looks good!:thumb:
You do have to be carefull blending pepper powder. Bout died blending some smoked Habanero's one time.
My favorite is to fire roast the jalapeno then dehydrate them. Mix that with salt.

Pandemonium 07-07-2011, 12:14 PM I made the jalapeno salt too and i swear its hotter than the cayenne one, tastes good to me and its cool to be able to use the peppers in so many ways,if you havent tried it get after it, I just added about a 1/4 tsp of granulated garlic, onion powder and salt to the pepper powders.

Not really because I wasnt sure how much pepper powder i had in each batch, just put in what you think seems good and try it, add more if you think it needs it, just start small obviously you cant take it out.
Ihad twice the cayenne powder than jalapeno powder so i put 1/2 tsps of the garlic and stuff in that one basically doubled.
Fishawn 07-07-2011, 12:53 PM Nice job :hail: ..... In about 2 months, hopefully have some full size jalapenos & cayenne peppers. Can't wait to try it..... :thumb:

Pandemonium 07-07-2011, 05:40 PM Im really digging the jalapeno one, put it on sketti and mmm
you guys have to give it a try, not sure if fire roasting made the jap one better than the cayenne or what though.
Fishawn 07-07-2011, 07:43 PM I cant wait to try this, garden permitting. Hell, I just might hit the store, grab some japs & go for it...... So, sounds like you been messing around with it a bit, if you had to start from scratch all over again, what (approximately - guestimate :noidea:) would you include as far as ingredients & percentages?.... If you would be so kind sir :hail:

I used about ten to twelve medium to small japs and fire roasted then dehydrated, not really sure how much powder there was but in pic it filled up one of those small spice containers, Can see how many ounces it was if you need but sure you be ok, then added 1/2 tsp granulated garlic 1/2 tsp onion powder and about same amount of regular salt and ground them all up together, seeds of japs too
Pandemonium 07-07-2011, 08:11 PM Dont be jealous Alx hahah Hell If i knew better I wouldnt have created somethin this good lol:banana_smiley:
