I don't think I can build one myself. I need to find someone who can build a kick ass one and not charge me a fortune. Is it only worth it if you do it yourself? I check on CL, but never find anything like that in my area. Does anybody make them and ship them? Maybe I just need to enroll at the local tech school and learn to weld.

Honey with your talents you can definitely build one yourself. If I can build one you can definitely build one. I build mine and there was no welding involved. Would it make things easier to have a welder?? Yea a little bit but you can get by just fine without welding.Propane Smoke Shack

Sweet!! I'm guessing with ya'lls help I might have to get after it. Gotta find a drum and I see my neighbor has some in his yard. He builds some kind of grills with them. I could ask him to help but he's a douche and I don't want him involved in anything I do. I'll do a search for some plans.

The going rate around here for a used in good condition food grade barrel is $20-$30. If it was just a regular barrel that had toxic stuff in it I wouldn't pay more than $15 as you can find them all over for cheap usually. Or even better yet for free.Propane Smoke Shack

And here's how I built my charcoal basket. No welding there either.

They really can be built with very simple tools -- drill, step bit comes in handy, wrenches, pliers, wire cutters -- that's pretty much it.
