    well i am doing 2 9# butts today for easter tomorrow...
    rubbed and injected with cherry juice and evan williams bourbon

    will be smoking on my newly aquired gosm at 250-260 with cherry wood chips


    getting ready to go on

    will be also spritzing w/cherry juice and bourbon thru out the smoke
    will follow up with along pics......

    well heres a couple of hours update....lookin and smellin good.....

    i am also thinkin of going all the way without foiling until i get to 190-200
    then i will foil and throw in the cooler....what do ya 'll think...

            You won't go wrong with the cherry juice, that's what I use on all my pork, including cherry wood! I'm anxious to hear how the bourbon kicks in some taste as this looks and sounds as if it's going to be a really good tasting butt!

                  Cherry really adds the color...and flavor. I think ya got a winner there!

                  I got tired of ham too.. 3 slabs full spares on now- pecan/apple wood, cider vinegar/bourbon mop. Mmm.

                      Looks real good from this angle. I think you got a winner with the cherry. Next time I'll try that instead of apple/rum spray. Thanks for the pics.

                        well here we go still going on..i hope this hurrys i think we going to get some rain here anytime.....they are setting at about 183 probably will foil at 195+ and put in the cooler..that will be the next pic...
