Poking around in the big freezer last night I found a brisket point vac packed and tucked away under some venison...
I thoughts to me self, I have not made my Cowboy beans in some time.. So for those of you that are newer to the site, let's go Ropin'...
Mmmmmmm Briskey...
Players for this affair are.....
2 cups or 1 pound pinto beans
1/2 lb. Ground or cubed venison (Or 2 Cups 1/2"x1/2" Smoked Brisket)
1 8oz. Can Tomato Sauce
4 Slices chopped bacon (Fat reserved)
1 Med. Chopped white onion or about 2 Cups.
6 Cups water
1 TBS salt
2 Cloves Garlic minced
1 TBS chili powder
1/2 Tsp Cumin
1/2 Tsp Oregano
Let the beans soak overnight...
All the the role players... I guess it would help if I added the Bacon and the Garlic to the pics.. WTF..
I will follow up in a few hours when it's finished..
