Well, I signed up to smoke 10 butts to help with an Easter feed at our church and needed more cook space. So, the Oklahoma Chapter of the Michigan Drum Corps has now expanded. I did not get creative. I just followed the sticky here by Bubba, one for no-weld UDS over at the Brethren and one at the TQJ.
They are not complete but they did it okay in an all-nighter. (will post those pics in another thread) My Dad helped me.
Got two drums from a place in OKC.

I have a donor Kingsford 22.5" grill but I do not think it will work. Your thoughts to make it work would appreciated.
It just is not big enough. We thought we could but top off and it would be close.
Here is the lid fit up to the Illini Drum just for reference.
Don't waste yer money on this. I fried it on the 2nd hole. ($10)
Hand to spend $30 to buy this one and use a real plug-in drill my Dad has. (25 yrs old)
Other tools in the garage. (I do not have printer hooked up in the house yet. This worked better anyways)
Air intake installation per Brethren link...
We spaced them equally by calculating the circumference of the drum (2*3.14*Radius - see this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumference)
~ 72" - we then divided by 3 to place one every 24" around the circumference of the drum. I saw someone use a template, too.
A helper was nearby...
We used some leftover shelf boards to make the shelves. A little big but that is ok. I actually have not made the charcoal baskets yet. I had to borrow two from SmokyOkie as I did not plan ahead enough time to get the expanded metal. I will follow Bubba's no weld charcoal basket for that.
Being seasoned. The Illini Drum has 4 butts on it already here.
Thanks for the info you all have posted up to make this easy to follow.
