  • Got the cooking chamber!

    Here it is not sure what the Capacity is but its a sweet piece from some old factory. .0625 SS body with 3/8 mild steel ends! I guess the tailgate size Reverse Flow is on hold till summer

      Plan on jacketing that body..I'd say. Altho it'll last many moons, it's waaay thin. Heat loss will be a factor.

        That nameplate is for a pressure vessel and is rated for 50 psi/300 degrees.

        You sure that thing isn't already jacketed with the thin stainless and all iron on the inside?

        Clean it out good. Boiler chemicals would leave some funky residue.

          "Richtee" I didn't even think about the heat loss due to the thin housing

          Is insulating it my only option?

            Just get a big ol fire goin to clean it out after i cut the door perhaps?

                One way or another, Or, I SUPPOSE you could just compensate with one big azzed firebox... Hmm... I guess I'm not sure if that's what ya wanna do tho.
