  • Baklava for Turkey Day

I was asked by my MIL to make baklava for Thanksgiving. I've made this a few other times with good results, but, I think I finally got it "right" this time...

                    It's 1C sugar, 1C water, 1/2C honey and 1tsp vanilla...simmered for 20 minutes

guess it could be considered a "honey syrup"

Fantastic. Love this stuff. We are always changing our recipe. We also use butter in the syrup, and make our blend of nuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews (equal parts of each).
