Turkey Carcass Soup...

[THE ICEMAN]

Sounds real appetizing eh?

I took the remnants of my turkey I smoked for Thanksgiving & made a mighty tasty soup from it. I put the turkey carcass in a soup pot with some chicken broth...



Here it is simmering with some diced onion, garlic & peppercorns...

After simmering for a time the bones were picked clean of the remaining turkey meat...

Added the meat back to the broth with some carrots, cut corn, celery, red taters & the secret ingredient, leftover frozen gravy...

To finish it off I threw in some rotini and here it is in the bowl...

And for dessert I made up some pumpkin pie...

A slice with some vanilla ice cream...

Wow Iceman, great minds must think alike. I currently have a turkey carcass boiling on the stove as I type. Looks good.
