We went this morning and picked up fresh oysters off the bar cant get any fresher than that. Tonight we built a fire and shucked some out. We had them raw, and steamed over the fire. We also fixed some up on the half shell and they had some essence and parmesan and shredded cheese on them. Hope everone like the pics as much as I liked the oysters.

Every now and then I can pick some at the local Krogers for about .39 cts/per.
Not the best, but they aint bad either. No real fish monger close by.
As Sopchoppy did, they are great grilled until they open (steamed in their own juices). In Hawaii, we had a dipping sauce of Aloha Shoyu, warmed over the grill, with a Thai pepper and wedge of lime floating in it. Gave the shoyu a little "tang".sigpic
