has anyone built a true smoke house out of wood? i have a lot of blackwalnut planks at my disposel so i was thinking bout building one but i dont wont to go to crazy something like 4wx6dx10h any sugestions or coments i will be doing like sausage/jerkey/rosts/fish/poltry ill try to have adjustible racks.. any help and input would be great..thanks chris

Jeez..I'd sell the wood and BUY a smokehouse! ;{) BW is expensive stuff.

I got one in the works right now.Going to be built for Minn.2x4 insulated walls lined with concreate board .will be 6'tall with 30''square inside dimentions .will have 2 doors one 2'door for fire box acsess and 4' door for smoke chambers. heres the cool part will be a reverse flow with a 2'' smoke runways along both walls exhaust will port out from about the waterpan leve lwich will be sealled from the firebox.I'll have different heat sources for differant smokes.the bottom half of my wsm will fit for charcoal,and I will have propane and or elect for low temp sausage smokes.should have the complete plans by mid week and be built within 2 wks. I cant wait should be cool2-22.5'' weber
