Hello everyone! Just came over to this board, thanks to Capt Dan's suggestion, from michigan sportsman. I'm into all things outdoors really... Hunting, fishing, various other sports, and obviously cooking. I'm looking forward to collaborating with everyone here!

Thanks!

It's been a little cold for morels up here yet, I saw snow in the woods the other day. But a little more rain (today) and a nice warm streak... Maybe next week.. I'll let you know when I find some, you may have to make a trip up here. Or I could mail some down when I get into a good crop.

Around the cities down state are tough because people are out all the time and know there spots, they don't have the time to get much size to them. Up here, thousands of acres of state land and the right soil. You may just have to come up for some fishing and mushrooming!

I will keep that in mind. Keep me in mind when they start going real good and maybe I'll do just that!:sausage:

Welcome NMM! Your gonna like it here. I live down state but have a hunting camp in Baldwin and was up last weekend to get some work done. Did a quick stroll thru the woods but didn't see any mushroom yet. I'll be back up for the "Blessing of the Bikes" in a couple of weeks so I'll look again.

My wifi has been down on my laptop. I'm taking it in today, so I thought I'd post on this from my phone and say thanks for all the replies!

In another week you might be good in Baldwin. I'd try to do it after, or during the rain. I found a few tiny white's the other day and by time I got home they were so small from drying it was laughable. My wife wondered how the heck I even found them. It's been extremely dry.

Anyway, thanks everyone!
