  • Jalapeno Wine?

Anyone ever try jalapeno wine before?
Sounds interesting and bet it would be great in marinades or sauces!

Heard about it on some food blog and it linked me to this recipe...

    http://winemaking.jackkeller.net/reques32.asp

Never made anything like this before so not sure what things like campden tablets are but gonna research it a bit and see what's doing when the jalapenos are in full swing this Summer.

Also found a very similar recipe on this site but added the link because it also has recipes for dandelion wine, strawberry/rhubarb wine, tea bag wine and a few others.

Not too sure about drinking it, but I bet it would make one hell of a good cooking wine.

I agree. I love wine but I don't foresee myself liking it as a drinking wine. But hey you don't know until you try it. I know it would be good for cooking though.

I had some mango-habanero tequila once. It was surprisingly good.

Bubba could use it to boil ribs in.

Have had jalapeno jelly and it was pretty darn good. Don't know about wine, but I'd sure try it.

Yep I made a batch a few years ago. It wasn't very good to drink but was fine to cook with. I haven't made another batch and have no plans to do so.
