  • DO Yardbird ...

With all the DO posts lately, I had to do another one today. I knew somewhere, I had some MH Brine, took awhile but I finally found it. I thought the yardbird was great last time, it really stood out after the MH Brine. Thanks Rich, Great Brine ...

With the Kids & Grandkids here, I was lucky to get that shot. There are carrots, celery and onion under the spuds. I like getting the carrots in first to act as a trivet and make sure they are fully cooked.

Just curious when you put the veggies under as a trivet... do you cut them in larger pieces or about the same as you usually would?

Either cut would work, I keep mine about 1" cuts. It's basically just to keep the bird off the bottom of the DO. The carrots are "fully" cooked when it's all done.
